Hulu Premieres Amanda Knox Drama Series August 20

Hulu's upcoming limited series, The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, dramatizes Amanda Knox's wrongful conviction and 16-year struggle to prove her innocence in the 2007 murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher while studying in Italy. Grace Van Patten stars as Knox, who also serves as an executive producer alongside her husband Chris Robinson, Monica Lewinsky, and others. The series, created by KJ Steinberg of This Is Us, aims to provide Knox's own perspective on her controversial trial and the global media scrutiny she faced. The show premieres on August 20, 2025, with the first two episodes available immediately on Hulu and Disney+, followed by weekly releases. Supporting cast includes Sharon Horgan as Knox’s mother and actors John Hoogenakker, Francesco Acquaroli, Giuseppe De Domenico, and Roberta Mattei. The series highlights not only Knox’s legal battle but also her efforts to reclaim her identity amid a flawed justice system and media sensationalism.
