Grizzly Bear Plans First North American Tour Since 2019
Grizzly Bear, the influential indie rock quartet, has announced their first live shows since 2019 with a brief seven-date North American tour this fall, including residencies in Brooklyn, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Oakland. The band, consisting of Ed Droste, Daniel Rossen, Chris Taylor, and Christopher Bear, clarified that this is not a reunion as they never officially broke up. Alongside the tour, the group is reissuing vinyl editions of their albums Painted Ruins, Yellow House, Veckatimest, and Shields, available starting October 17. During their hiatus, members pursued individual projects such as Ed Droste becoming a licensed therapist, Daniel Rossen releasing a solo album and collaborating on film scores, and Chris Bear contributing to other artists' works. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on May 30, with presales beginning earlier. The tour marks a significant return for the band, showcasing their ongoing influence and evolution since their last performance at the 2019 Just Like Heaven festival.
