Spartacus: House of Ashur Trailer, Cast Revealed

Starz has released the first trailer for 'Spartacus: House of Ashur,' confirming its winter premiere as a sequel set in an alternate universe where Ashur survives and takes ownership of Batiatus's gladiator school. Nick E. Tarabay returns as Ashur, leading a new cast that includes Graham McTavish, Claudia Black, India Shaw-Smith, and Tenika Davis as Achillia, the franchise's first female gladiator. Steven S. DeKnight is back as showrunner, and the series promises the same stylized violence, political intrigue, and eroticism as its predecessor. The show was featured at San Diego Comic-Con, where a panel honored original Spartacus actor Andy Whitfield and highlighted the franchise's continued popularity. Lucy Lawless will reprise her role as Lucretia in the premiere episode, with other franchise veterans expected to make guest appearances.
