Hamilton City Council Implements Cost-Saving Measures

Hamilton City Council Chief Executive Lance Vervoort has announced strategic changes to achieve $1.4 million in annual staff savings, including restructuring the leadership team and the departure of Business Services General Manager David Bryant. Savings will be attained through role disestablishments, cutting the graduate recruitment program, and redistributing functions within the organization. Vervoort aims to prioritize retaining current staff amidst these cost-saving measures, following previous staff savings of $7 million earlier in the year.
