Brewers Promote Daz Cameron, Place Garrett Mitchell on IL

The Milwaukee Brewers are promoting outfielder Daz Cameron from Triple-A Nashville to provide depth after center fielder Garrett Mitchell was placed on the injured list with a left oblique injury. Cameron has been performing exceptionally well in the minors since his recent acquisition, posting a batting average over .370 with significant power numbers. While the Brewers anticipate Mitchell will miss about two weeks, Cameron's promotion is also notable because of his strong minor league play and his lineage as the son of former Brewer Mike Cameron. To make room for Cameron on the 40-man roster, Blake Perkins was transferred to the 60-day injured list.
