Cambridge Police Hunt Suspect in Fatal Park Assault

Police in Cambridge have launched a murder investigation following the fatal assault of a 20-year-old man at Mill Park. Emergency services were called on the night of August 1, but the victim died at the scene despite paramedics' efforts. Authorities are urgently searching for 21-year-old Chaz Corrigan, who is named as a suspect and described as white, slim build, and last seen wearing a fluorescent jacket. Detective Inspector Dale Mepstead of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit has urged the public not to approach Corrigan but to contact police immediately if they have any information. The police have set up a dedicated portal and provided a contact number for anonymous tips to assist in the investigation. The public is being asked to remain vigilant and report any sightings to help bring the suspect into custody.
