Texas Rangers Honor Josh Hamilton, Adrián Beltré in August Ceremonies

The Texas Rangers will honor former stars Josh Hamilton and Adrian Beltré with special ceremonies at Globe Life Field in August. On August 9, Hamilton, a five-time American League All-Star and 2010 AL MVP, will receive his Rangers Hall of Fame jacket during an on-field ceremony before the game against the Philadelphia Phillies, also signing autographs and throwing the ceremonial first pitch. Despite Hamilton's off-field legal controversies, the Rangers are recognizing his significant on-field contributions, including his role in the team's first World Series appearance. On August 22, a full-size bronze statue of Hall of Fame third baseman Adrian Beltré, who played with the Rangers from 2011-2018, will be unveiled outside the stadium, with Beltré delivering remarks and participating in ceremonial activities. The following day, Beltré will be honored again with a pregame ceremony, throwing the first pitch, and replica statues will be given to the first 20,000 fans. Additionally, Shin-Soo Choo, another former Rangers player, will make an appearance on August 22, signing autographs and participating in the ceremonial first pitch alongside Beltré.
