Foster Care Matters Celebrates First Anniversary in North West

Foster Care Matters, a not-for-profit fostering agency affiliated with the charity Adoption Matters, is celebrating its first anniversary after opening on May 1, 2024, and achieving Ofsted registration. Over the past year, the agency has expanded its support and promotion of fostering across the North West, Liverpool, Cheshire, and Stoke-on-Trent, offering a therapeutic, child-centered approach to foster care for children and young people aged 0–18. The agency stands out as one of the few not-for-profit fostering services in England, reinvesting in high-quality support and continuous training for foster families. Foster Care Matters provides comprehensive support for foster parents through the Centre for Fostering and Adoption Support, granting access to a multi-disciplinary team including occupational therapists and therapeutic social workers. This year, the agency introduced the IE Hub, a unique fostering finance tracker designed to help applicants understand and manage their finances throughout the fostering process. Staff and supporters marked the anniversary with a celebration during their Prepare to Foster Training Course, reflecting on achievements and ongoing commitment to creating brighter futures for children in need.
