Former Fox News Anchor Angelynn Mock Charged With First-Degree Murder of Elderly Mother in Wichita

Angelynn Mock, a 47-year-old former television news anchor for Fox 2 in St. Louis, has been charged with first-degree murder after allegedly stabbing her 80-year-old mother, Anita Avers, to death in Wichita, Kansas. Police responded to a reported stabbing at a residence where they found Mock outside and her mother unresponsive in bed with multiple stab wounds; Avers was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Mock was also treated at a hospital for undisclosed injuries before being booked into Sedgwick County Jail on a $1 million bond.
