Hoover Man Arrested in Limestone County Human Trafficking Case

Hayel Fadhlesaleh Hasson, a 52-year-old man from Hoover, Alabama, was arrested by the Limestone County Sheriff's Office following a human trafficking investigation. Hasson initiated contact on social media with what he believed to be a juvenile male, an account actually operated by a sheriff's investigator, and offered money for sexual contact. He agreed to travel from Hoover to Limestone County to meet the juvenile and was taken into custody upon arrival in Athens. He faces charges including electronic solicitation of a child, traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act, and first-degree human trafficking. Sheriff Joshua McLaughlin praised the dedication of investigators in protecting children and vowed to continue efforts to stop exploitation of vulnerable individuals. Hasson is being held at the Limestone County Detention Center pending an Aniah’s Law hearing.
