Nexos Appoints McGinigal CEO Amid 300-Strong Onshore Expansion

Nexos, an Aberdeen-based engineering, procurement, and construction services provider specializing in the energy sector, has appointed Scott McGinigal as its new chief executive with immediate effect. McGinigal, a chartered process engineer with over 30 years of experience, joins from Spirit Energy and has held senior leadership roles at Total and CNOOC. His appointment coincides with Nexos' strategic expansion into the onshore energy market, including launching a 300-person division focused on energy transition projects such as hydrogen production, carbon capture and storage, waste-to-energy, renewables, and synthetic fuels. As part of the D2Zero group, Nexos is leveraging its offshore expertise to support clients like Apache and Ithaca Energy while bolstering its capabilities through acquisitions like OSL Consulting Engineers and new offices in Hull. Both McGinigal and D2Zero's CEO Bob Drummond highlighted the company’s critical role in the UK's energy transition and its clear strategic direction. This leadership change aims to drive further growth across Nexos' onshore and offshore portfolios.
