Multi-State Crashes Close Lanes, Cause Delays

A crash on I‑85 northbound near Exit 66 in Spartanburg County, S.C., closed the left two lanes and backed up traffic for miles. A serious collision on eastbound I‑90 near North Bend (around milepost 31) initially shut all eastbound lanes and closed at least one westbound lane for emergency crews; a lane in each direction later reopened but long backups remained, serious injuries were reported, and authorities are investigating. U.S. 17 near Sparrows Bend in Pender County, N.C., is closed after a crash and may disrupt school bus pickup and arrivals. In Laredo, southbound Loop 20 is scheduled to have a lane closure beginning at 9 a.m. for crash cushion repairs at Cuatro Vientos Road, and drivers are urged to slow, merge, and use caution through the work zone.
